4:00pm - 5:00pm

As AI shows up in classrooms, planning periods, and district conversations, the question isn't whether to engage with it, but how to do it well. The AI Empowered Teacher Cadre is a standing community for educators who want to build real skill with AI tools and collaboratively figure out what responsible and effective use looks like in K-12 schools.
This cadre will meet monthly on the third Thursday to build AI literacy and skills, think together, integrate AI into instruction, and streamline workflows. An hour of PD credit will be provided for each session attended.
Thinking Like A Historian: Designing the Inquiry
2/02/2027
8:30am - 3:30pm
Lexington Campus, 2331 Fortune Dr. Lexington, KY 40509
Strong inquiry doesn't happen by accident — it's designed. Rooted in the Science of Reading, true comprehension happens when students actively synthesize knowledge through structured inquiry and writing. In this session, explore how to build compelling questions and structure an inquiry arc that moves students through evidence toward deeper understanding. Discover low-stakes writing routines that help students "think on paper," lock in complex vocabulary, and turn background knowledge into durable comprehension. Designed for K–12 social studies, these approaches strengthen the architecture behind every inquiry and are ready to use on Monday.
