Transition Book Study

Description:  This book study challenges participants to rethink transition as a system of preparation—not a single IEP page. Through guided discussion and practical application, we will analyze what strong transition planning looks like in action and how to align assessment, measurable postsecondary goals, annual goals, SDI, and community connections into one coherent pathway.

This experience is designed for teams ready to:

Building Thinking Classrooms: Bootcamp!

​Description:  Join us for a two-day, 12 PD hour,  in person bootcamp grounded in Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics by Peter Liljedahl. Peter Liljedahl will join us live via Zoom for a key-note presentation kickoff to the bootcamp, and each participant will receive a copy of the book. This session will focus on practical, classroom-ready strategies for implementing thinking classroom practices across all instructional settings—including general education, co-taught, and resource classrooms. Co-Teaching teams should attend together! Participants will learn how to adapt and apply these practices to meet the needs of diverse learners, with guidance on what implementation can look like in real classrooms.

Executive Functions Masterclass

Description:  This workshop teaches the importance of building executive functioning skills and how to build

those skills within a wide range of learners. Attendees will learn the entire process from assessment and

goal identification to instructional strategies and data collection. Walk away with a toolbox of strategies to teach essential skills such as flexibility, emotional control, sustained attention, and so much more!

Executive Functions are the skills needed to accomplish goal directed behavior and are critical for every

day success. The skills of planning, organization, shifting and sustaining attention, impulse control, and

more are key to everything from making friends to having a job to completing a math test. In this session,

learn how to identify the skill deficits that your students are struggling with under the area of executive

functioning skills. Learn how to approach teaching and developing these skills with the same rigor and

systematic planning that we give to other areas of need. Identify ways to setup an environment that

promotes independence and problem solving. Finally, learn how to track progress and fade assistance.

Navigating AI in Schools: A Regional Think Tank for Policy/Guidance​

This regional think tank brings together school, district, and teacher leaders from across the region to have the conversations that matter most: What do we currently have in place? What are others doing? And what would actually work for our community?

Over these three hours, participants will share existing AI policies and guidance from their own districts, learn from the experiences of peers facing the same challenges, and spend the majority of the session collaborating to prototype practical frameworks that can be adapted and taken back home. Description:  Congratulations!  You’ve hired new teachers and they are excited to get started.  Now you must support them and help them develop into amazing educators who have a significant impact on student learning.  This in-person workshop will provide participants with the system necessary to ensure new teachers feel supported and help them develop strong instructional skills.  The workshop will work through eight monthly cycles that can be implemented with a year long new teacher onboarding program.  Participants will spend time between learning information from the anchor texts and planning a new teacher onboarding program for the 2026-27 school year.  All participants will receive copies of Onboarding Teachers and Welcome to Teaching! and will leave the two day workshop with 7 ready-made presentations to utilize throughout a yearlong new teacher onboarding program.

Description:  Building Strong Starts: Supporting New Special Educators from Day One

Teacher turnover often begins with uncertainty. This session helps administrators and mentor teachers build a structured support plan that balances compliance expectations with instructional growth.

Participants will:

  • Define clear “non-negotiables” for first-year success

  • Understand the developmental progression of new special educators

  • Align mentoring conversations to SDI, collaboration, and IEP implementation

  • Build a 30-60-90 day support roadmap

  • Identify early warning signs before burnout or compliance concerns arise

    ​

This training strengthens alignment between building leadership and special education teams, ensuring new teachers receive consistent messaging and support.

​The Math Pact: Mathematics Whole School Agreement

Target Audience:  administrators, instructional coaches, general education teachers, special education teachers, instructional coaches, math interventionists

Description:   This six hour face-to-face training is intended for teachers and administrators to walk through the action steps that would need to take place in order to get all members of a school community in agreement on expectations and norms surrounding best practices in mathematics. There is a focus on vertical and horizontal alignment of math pedagogy in a school building and/or district. Participants will work through and receive a copy of The Math Pact, written by Barbara Dougherty, Sarah Bush, and Karen Karp. This book and the idea of the Mathematics Whole School Agreement are promoted by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).
