This module builds a strong foundation for teaching fractions by connecting conceptual understanding to procedural fluency. Participants will explore how fraction operations develop from meaningful mathematical concepts, use a variety of visual models to strengthen fraction sense, examine the progression of fraction standards across grade levels, and identify common student misconceptions while learning strategies to address them effectively.
