Developing a Comprehensive School Counseling Program

6 Hours of PD or EILA Credit

In this self-paced, on-demand module, participants will learn to:

  • identify the three sets of standards that help school counselors develop, implement, and assess their school counseling program;

  • manage and analyze data for continuous program improvement, determine annual student outcome goals, and access and utilize a variety of tools to support the management of the Comprehensive School Counseling Program (CSCP);

  • explain the elements of the Deliver component within the ASCA National Model and differentiate between direct and indirect student services; and

  • use available data to determine program effectiveness and inform improvements to their school counseling program design and delivery.

 

Fostering Academic Mindsets in the Classroom

1 Hour of PD Credit

 

This on-demand module defines and explains the four academic mindsets teachers can help foster to develop positive academic behaviors and academic perseverance. Participants will finish this module with multiple strategies they can utilize in their classrooms to help students develop positive academic mindsets.


Growing a Healthy Mathematics Classroom: Social Emotional Learning in Math Class

As educators, we understand the importance of social-emotional learning (SEL). We don’t always know how to embed SEL into our instruction. This on-demand module provides strategies and resources on incorporating SEL into your math classroom.

KY Social and Emotional Learning Implementation Guide - Classroom

1 Hour of PD or EILA Credit

Welcome to the KY Social and Emotional Learning Implementation Guide - Classroom module. This module is for anyone who works with students in a classroom setting and is ready to integrate SEL into their learning space. It will give you an overview of how to use the KY Guide as well as strategies you can use with your students tomorrow. It should take you about 1 hour to complete. One hour of PD/EILA will be awarded when the assessment/evaluation form is completed.

Welcome to the KY Social and Emotional Learning Implementation Guide - District module. This module is for anyone who is in a district leadership role looking to implement systemic, social and emotional learning throughout a school district.  It will give you an overview of how to use the KY Guide as well as tools that can be used to assess your current level of implementation. It should take you about 1 hour to complete.  One hour of PD/EILA will be awarded when the assessment/evaluation form is completed.

This module is for anyone who is in a school leadership role looking to implement systemic, schoolwide social and emotional learning.  It will give you an overview of how to use the KY Guide as well as tools that can be used to assess your current level of implementation. It should take you about 1 hour to complete. One hour of PD/EILA will be awarded when the assessment/evaluation form is completed.

MTSS Overview - Self-Paced Module

Up to 12 Hours of PD or EILA Credit

​

This series of online modules will allow participants to explore each of the 6 essential elements of Kentucky's MTSS Framework. Within each module, there are opportunities to examine the implementation of that element at both the school and district level. The modules may be viewed as standalone learning for each essential element. As a whole, they will provide a more comprehensive understanding of the Framework.

Social Emotional Learning for Students with Intellectual Disabilities

1 Hour of PD Credit

​

This on-demand module will provide participants with strategies for supporting Social Emotional Learning in students with Intellectual Disabilities.  Participants will receive resources and strategies that can be implemented in the classroom immediately.
