  • Description: This workshop offers a day of effective, evidence-based and best practice strategies to embed school based therapy into the educational environment. Through interactive discussions and hands-on labs participants will obtain dozens of new ideas to employ immediately in their classrooms and schools, including more efficient ways to progress monitor, share reports, coordinate services. The Learning Objectives are:     Implement evidence-based strategies to increase participation in classroom and school; Pioneer alternative delivery models for inclusive programming; Bring  therapy sensibilities into the educational environment during all subjects at all times;        Expand the ‘bag of tricks’ with adaptations, accommodations, interventions & technologies ranging from inexpensive to free; Individualize curricular materials and environments to promote optimal learning; Employ time-saving data collection rubrics and other qualitative scales; Provide sensory seekers, hyperactive or labile children with calming tools; and Communicate more effectively and efficiently with fellow professionals and parents.
