Help! They Are All on Different Levels!: Using Small Group Guided Reading

Description: This session will focus on using formative assessment and designing rigorous instruction for differentiated small group guided reading based on the work of Jan Richardson, Irene Fountas and Gay Su Pinnell. The day will be focused around teaching KCAS foundational skills with a rigorous and differentiated approach. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of Foundational Skills, ideas for managing the classroom, planning guided reading instruction using leveled readers and progress monitoring student performance for a variety of skill levels.
