8/5/2021 Think: Systematically Solving Problems in a Group
3 Hours PD Credit
The THINK Strategy, from The Strategic Instruction Model (SIM) at the University of Kansas, is used to problem solve in small groups of students. Skills included in this strategy include:
- identifying and analyzing problems
- brainstorm solutions
- identify and discuss advantages and disadvantages of solutions
- planning implementation
- reviewing the problem solving process
A prerequisite for this session is the SCORE Skills: Social Skills for Cooperative Groups online module. Participants will receive an email with a link to the SCORE module upon registration.
Upon completion of the SCORE module, participants will receive the SCORE manual when they attend the THINK Strategy Session.
