2/9/2022 Resiliency & Social Skills

Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

This session will provide practical strategies for Resiliency for students. Resiliency is coping and functioning well despite adversity or trauma. Schools are recognizing the importance of students’ social and emotional well-being as well as a supportive school climate, more generally, in promoting positive academic and behavioral outcomes. For schools, promoting it involves strategic planning and detailed practice involving the whole school community to help vulnerable young people do better than their circumstances might have predicted. We will also explore social skills curriculum to help build resiliency.

We will address the High leverage Practices for Special Education numbers:  4, 5, 6, 9, & 10

Location: CKEC Training Center, 2331 Fortune Drive, Lexington, KY 40509
