This 2-hour module will provide a range of strategies to help build relationships with students from diverse backgrounds. These strategies will include engaging students in developing a classroom climate of learning and increasing student engagement, and potentially reducing challenging behaviors.

Fostering Academic Mindsets in the Classroom

1 Hour of PD Credit

 

This on-demand module defines and explains the four academic mindsets teachers can help foster to develop positive academic behaviors and academic perseverance. Participants will finish this module with multiple strategies they can utilize in their classrooms to help students develop positive academic mindsets.

 

How to Run a Highly Effective Meeting

2 Hours of PD or EILA Credit

 

This self-paced session will explore principles and strategies of facilitating effective meetings. The three high-leverage practices in special education all relate to collaboration among professionals and families, and leading effective meetings in order to identify needed student supports and services in order to increase student success.

This session is for anyone that is responsible for facilitating meetings at the district, building, or classroom level, as well as meeting with families and other supporting agencies.

  • Collaborate with families to support student learning and secure needed services

Relationships are certainly important...but there's a LOT more to it than that. In this module, you'll get tips to make you a stronger leader - whether you are a teacher leading students or an administrator leading staff.

KY Social and Emotional Learning Implementation Guide - Classroom

1 Hour of PD or EILA Credit

Welcome to the KY Social and Emotional Learning Implementation Guide - Classroom module. This module is for anyone who works with students in a classroom setting that is ready to integrate SEL into their learning space. It will give you an overview of how to use the KY Guide as well as strategies you can use with your students tomorrow. It should take you about 1 hour to complete. One hour of PD/EILA will be awarded when the assessment/evaluation form is completed.

This module is for anyone who is in a district leadership role looking to implement systemic, social, and emotional learning throughout a school district.  It will give you an overview of how to use the KY Guide as well as tools that can be used to assess your current level of implementation. It should take you about 1 hour to complete.  One hour of PD/EILA will be awarded when the assessment/evaluation form is completed.

Restorative Justice Practices

2 Hours of PD or EILA Credit 
 

This session will provide practical strategies for Restorative Practices and look at an approach that proactively builds positive school communities while also reducing misbehavior, discipline referrals, in school and out-of-school suspensions. 


Secondary Traumatic Stress: Building Educator Resilience

1.5 Hours of PD or EILA Credit

 

This on-demand module provides an overview of secondary traumatic stress and the effect it can have on school staff. Strategies are shared on how to increase the resilience of educators so that they are better protected against secondary traumatic stress.


Self-Care for Educators Overview

2 Hours of PD or EILA Credit
 

Practicing self-care is more important now than ever. In this on-demand module, participants will learn about six different domains of self-care. Participants will also learn about different strategies that can be used to practice self-care.
