CKEC Leadership Series: Keys to Student Success - Congruence

3 Hours of EILA Credit

In classrooms, the lack of congruence can be the most detrimental factor to student success and achievement. Defined as  “perfect alignment between standards, learning targets, resources used, and questions used on daily and periodic assessments”, congruence is often missing in classroom lessons.  What’s worse, it can be nearly invisible to those who don’t know how to ensure that it is in place.  Unless they fully understand congruence, teachers and administrators may think that instruction looks effective, only to be hit with the reality when lower-than-expected student results become evident.  In this self-paced module, learn about congruence and how it can lead to drastically improved student success across a classroom, grade level, school, or district.
