CKEC OrganizationThe Coop is comprised of eighteen school systems including Anderson County, Bardstown Independent, Bourbon County, Boyle County, Clark County, Danville Independent, Frankfort Independent, Harrison County, Jessamine County, Kentucky School for the Deaf, Marion County, Montgomery County, Nelson County, Nicholas County, Paris Independent, Scott County, Washington County and Woodford County. The Coop provides services to one hundred fifteen schools with approximately forty-four thousand students and twelve thousand staff members. The Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative (CKEC-Coop) office is located in Dickey Hall on the campus of the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky. Dickey Hall is on the corner of Upper and Scott Streets, adjacent to the Taylor Education Building. The Coop office is on the ground floor in suite 43. CKEC MissionThe mission of the Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative is to provide its member district services in training, purchasing, diversity education, professional development, consulting and other specified services required for enhancing member districts’ effectiveness. Through this process, the Cooperative shall remove barriers and provide additional resources for school systems to improve student achievement. The mission is achieved through providing quality, unique and diversified services as requested by each member system.
